Abstract
1580 yılında Osmanlı Devleti ile İngiltere arasındaki resmi ilişkileri tesis eden ilk ahidnâmeden sonra eklemelerle tecdid edilen ahidnâmelerle İngilizlerin memâlik-i mahrûsedeki imtiyazları korunarak genişletilmiştir. Bu ahidnâmelerin kapsamı her yenilenen ahidnâme ile farklılaşır. Ancak bu farklılıkları tespit edebilmenin yolu ilk olarak ahidnâmelerin sayılarını ve veriliş tarihlerini tespit etmekten geçer.
Osmanlı İngiliz diplomatik ilişkileri literatüründe ahidnâmelerin veriliş ve tecdid tarihleri ve bununla ilintili olarak sayıları hakkında birbiriyle çelişen muhtelif bilgiler mevcuttur. Bu çalışmada, Osmanlı ve İngiliz arşivlerinin sunduğu imkanlarla, Osmanlı Devleti’nin İngiltere’ye verdiği ahidnâmelerin veriliş tarihleri ve sayısı tespit edilmiştir. Bu sayede, Osmanlı diplomasi tarihi çalışmalarına bir katkı sunulması amaçlanmaktadır.

Abstract
The first ahdname establishing the relations between the Ottoman State and England was granted by Sultan Murad III (r. 1574-1595) to England in 1580. The privileges of the English in well-protected domains were maintained and expanded utilizing ahdnames that were renewed with additions. The scope of these accords varied with each renewal. However, determining these discrepancies requires initially identifying the dates and numbers of the ahdnames, followed by a comparison of the actual texts.
There is conflicting evidence within scholarship on Ottoman-English diplomatic ties regarding the dates of the issuing and renewal of the ahdnames as well as their numbers. This study determines the dates of the granting of ahdnames by the Ottoman State to England and the number of these documents. In this way, this article hopes to contribute to the research of Ottoman diplomatic history.
