Öz
Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, ölçek geliştirme alanında deneyim sahibi olmayan araştırmacılar için teorik bir çerçeve oluşturmaya yönlendirmek ve bu alanda çalışmalar yaparken hangi dergilere ve yazarlara başvuracakları konusunda onlara rehberlik etmektir. Bu çalışmada ölçek geliştirme üzerine Web of Science (WOS) veri tabanında yer alan makalelerin bibliyometrik özellikleri incelenmiştir. Ölçek geliştirme alanında yapılan ilgili çalışmalar bibliyometrik analiz yöntemi ile çeşitli görseller oluşturularak yorumlanmıştır. Bu çalışma kapsamında ölçek geliştirme konusundaki en etkili çalışmaların, dergilerin, ülkelerin hangileri olduğu, hangi kavramların zaman içerisinde nasıl geliştiği, ilgili alanda trend olan konuların neler olduğu sorularına yanıt aranmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre WOS veri tabanında 1980-2023 yılları arasında ölçek geliştirme konusunda yazılan 1377 makale olduğu, ölçek geliştirme alanına en çok katkı sağlayan ülkenin ABD, yazarın ise Van Braak J. olduğu görülmüştür. Bunun yanında diğer ülkeler arasındaki iş birliği ağında da ABD’nin temel aktör konumunda olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ölçek geliştirme alanında en çok kullanılan anahtar kelimelerin öğrenci, eğitim ve geçerlik olduğu görülmüştür. Son yıllarda ölçek geliştirme alanıyla ilişkilendirilen trend konunun ise çevre (environment) kavramı olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Öz
The main purpose of this research is to guide researchers who do not have experience in the field of scale development to create a theoretical framework and to guide them about which journals and authors to apply while working in this field. In this study, the bibliometric features of the articles in the Web of Science (WOS) database on scale development were examined. Related studies in the field of scale development were interpreted by creating various images with the bibliometric analysis method. Within the scope of this study, answers were sought to the questions of which are the most effective studies, journals and countries on scale development, which concepts have developed over time, and what are the trending topics in the relevant field. According to the results of the analysis, it was seen that there were 1377 articles written on scale development in the WOS database between 1980 and 2023, the country that contributed the most to the field of scale development was the USA, and the author was Van Braak J. In addition, it has been concluded that the USA is the main actor in the cooperation network between other countries. It has been seen that the most used keywords in the field of scale development are student, education and validity. It has been concluded that the trend topic associated with the field of scale development in recent years is the concept of environment.
