It might seem paradoxical to analyze literature in terms of silence. Literature makes us know, see, hear, and feel through words, it expresses and communicates ideas; whereas silence is an absence of speech, noise or mention. .Silence suggests muteness, stillness, oblivion, obscurity or secrecy. No matter how nullifying the term and its connotations might sound, one should remember that "silence is golden." Silence, in fact, is a commodity in literature, it has a language of its own.
